It's the most wonderful time of the year

Yes, it's Bullshit Bowl season! That's when all the good little 6-6 and 7-5 college football teams play in bowl games you've never heard of. Last night Utah beat Navy 35-32 in the Poinsettia Bowl, but they didn't cover the spread.

You see, a bunch of us out here in greater metro Boston have a confidence pool every year picking the winners against the spread for the no-name bowl games. I started out with a loss, but I'm feeling good about Memphis against Florida Atlantic in the New Orleans Bowl. And who can forget tomorrow night's classic Papajohns.com Bowl showdown between Cincinnati and Southern Miss?

And before anyone mocks these bowl games too much, remember that they manage to pay $750K to the schools and (generally) turn a profit. That's a lot of money for sub-par college football. God bless America.

At least it was football that we all could enjoy on basic cable.

Unlike the NFL game last night. The NFL Network is the most retarded fucking thing in the history of retarded fucking things.

how about those Florida Atlantic Owls! not bad for a school that is just starting out.

the big question Crappy is how your GayBears will do against Air Force. i haven't checked the odds yet but i would think Cal is favored. a loss would make them 6-7 for the year...OUCH.

finally, i'm surprised Tedford isn't being considered for the UCLA job.

happy holidays everyone!

Ah, the NFL Network and the Big Ten Network. Let's screw our fans in the ear by having their games only available on satellite!

Computer simulations show that Cal will win by 6 plus or minus 30. Seriously, if our D-line and LB corps are healthy I don't think Air Force can run on us. If Longshore is still a one-legged QB, he might throw 6 picks.

Maybe Tedford is allergic to smog.
