JiggsCasey.com Salutes

Since I work for a company of mostly scientists and engineers, I spend a good fraction of my waking hours in an alternate universe where Monty Python still rules pop culture, women are a fifth of the population, and fashion is ├╝berpractical.

So today we salute the guy who wears a tie with a short sleeved shirt. No, it's a good look for you. After all, you need to look dressed up, but it's warm out. Therefore, tie with short sleeves. QED.

You know what bothers me? People who wear sock with sandals.

Worse still are people who wear socks with sandals while wearing shorts.

Jeezus.

What about people who wear socks OVER sandals?

i thought that sort of thing is common dress for engineers.

next to accountants, i think engineers have quite possibly the worst sense of fashion of any other profession.

i also think they lack people skills...except you.

People still wear ties out there in the world?

Whatever happened to business casual?

Nick and Ubie: Sandals should never be near socks.

Carl: When they want to look nice, yes. You should walk around MIT for a few hours - guaranteed to make you feel supercool.

Earl: There were clients visiting, hence the fancying up.
