I wear a wedding dress to punish society.

I saw Bruce McCulloch on Saturday. The show was amazing. It's so satisfying to see sketch comedy that is both hilarious, insightful and just plain clever.

At times the show seemed more like performance art. For example Bruce and his cohorts performed a joint monologue in wedding dresses which was weird, but in spite of the unusual premise, the sketch was still really funny.

Going to see sketch comedy of that calibre makes me a sort of lament the quality of the writing on SNL. Certainly, the idea of a dick in a box is funny, but it's not the smartest of premises. But perhaps mainstream america is not ready for "Hey! I have an idea! Let's rape bruce! That would be hilarious!" (Suggesting that Bruce be raped was an important element of the groups opening sketch.)
