History of the day for September 13

In 1900, Sigmund Freud publishes The Interpretation of Dreams, and his concepts of the dynamic unconscious mind and the Oedipus complex soon follow. These all coalesce into his now popular theory of "letting the craziest people become psychiatrists and tell the rest of us what is normal."

I don't think it is funny to make fun of mental illness.

Being a serious case myself, I think some shrinks make fun of people seaking help for things varying from grief, break-ups, to on the other end of the scale the smallest issues, like paranoia from smoking too much pot! Takes a good doctor to see u thru all these things. There are good drs, but remember some have only partial know-how and some make a mountain of a molehill. Many mad Drs do exist, lets not mistake mental illness for bad treatment. Let's not confuse the dr with the patient in jiggs history of the day. Spoken inside looking out.
