History of the day for June 22

In 1830 Charles Dickens first accepted a writing job where he got paid by the word. You know i find it strange that anyone would pay a writer by the word. In fact, i find it really really really really really strange. I mean why would anyone stoop to such disgusting, anti-artistic levels. Those levels are so very very very very very anti-artistic. In fact the more i think about it, the more i get depressed. If i continue to think about it, i will probably get more and more and more and more and more depressed. Please sir, can i have some more?

Ha ha, I was just thinking of how I would pile short, useless words into my text if I had this job.
