History of the day for May 19

In 1912 world title holder in billiards Joseph Cornelion came out of
retirement to battle his rival Menik Hallingweis, who held the world title for billiards 1884-1891 only to be struck by lightning on the way there and lose his ability to keep either hand still. Not surprisingly, he still defeated Menik who had gone blind in 1896.
