In 1184, soccer, or as the Europeans call it, tennis, is invented to give career hooligans a nice hobby.

I thought they called it futbol. OMG was that English? Am I spelling in Spanish? I'm dreaming in sign language and speaking in tongues.

I'm missing all kinds of things here, forgive me. Then ignore me.

lilly: The computer makes these up. All the hahas are caused by it.

nikki: no I'm fairly certain they call soccer "tennis" in europe. Haven't you ever heard of tennis hooligans?

Nikke, we do -- football. It's obvious why -- the foot is used to kick the ball around. It's always puzzled me why Americans refer to a certain sport as American football -- do you not use both hands and feet to get the ball going in this sport?

Aye right, Jiggsy -- just blame the computer, dear ;-)

We call our sport football, not american football. We call your sport soccer.

Also in soccer you don't only use your foot. You also use your hands when you inbounds a ball.

Oh yeah, of course we call your football American football. Makes sense. Why would you call it American yourself....forgive me, I've not had enough coffee yet [and it's snowing here!]
