History of the day for November 11

In 1918, Germany signs an armistice with the Allies in the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, thus ending one of the most bloody and pointless wars ever. This leads to the coining of the phrases "eleventh hour" and "my bad."

Kia Ora (Hello) from a blogger down under in New Zealand. Yes - a day in history, we should all be thankful for. I started my blog, "Black Friday" May 13th. When day did you start yours???

Jiggsblog started on May 19th if the archives haven't been doctored. Here's a classy jiggsblog quip from them days:

"We're very religious, so we make love through a hole in a sheet."

"So it's a like a glory hole then?"

"A glory of god hole."

Another hilarious quip from the past:

Sometimes I hate myself for listening to bands named after places (like America, Chicago, Boston).

But then I noticed that someone commented on a post! This of course reminded me that I am a god in comparison to most people.

Sorry, I forgot to specify that those last two comments were directed at Kelvin.

And fred, talking beverages are totally common. I remember back when I was in the service and my drill sargeant was a milkshake. I believe he was oreo flavored...
