For Monkey

Monkey demanded pictures. And what Monkey wants, Monkey gets. In fact, Monkey gets... monkeys!

These are my sock monkeys. A tree-dwelling species in their natural habitat (Hanes Island), they prefer to live up in my bookshelf. Miguelito (right) fancies himself to be "hardcore" which explains the medallion. Betsy (left) humors him. They are both big fans of Monkey's blog since he/she/it gets to go on adventures and they spend all their time reading. They are probably the only two monkeys in captivity that are experts in poker strategy, cold war history, Kurt Vonnegut, and Terry Pratchett.

Oh my! But see? I travel and have adventures, while they learn things. I'll hop on the train to visit them. Will they help me graduate from Kindergarten?

Thanks for the pictures Slappy!!!

Your monkeys are nerds!

Can your monkeys talk like monkey talks?

Slappy: You're a Pratchett Reader!!!!!? :o))) Oh WOW!. I've just read the witches cycle for the umpteenth time (except Carpe Jugulum, which I don't have). How can a person of such excellent taste be associated with Jiggs? Oh dear.

Sadly, my monkeys are mute. I'll have to teach them sign language so they can tutor Monkey.

Yes, Alistair! I am a Pratchett fan and passed on the books to the monkeys. However, as an American, I have to wear a ten-gallon hat while reading them. And nothing else, baby. That's right. High five, Jiggs!

As for a jiggsblogger having taste, it's more attributed to a Limey friend of mine. Worry not, Alistair! there's no class in this blog.

You don't have Carpe Jugulum? Good book. You need it. Go stimulate the economy.
