Are you at work right now?

I am. If you're like me and spending time reading blogs at work, first off, good for you! Secondly, you're contributing to the downfall of society:

"About 35 million workers — one in four people in the labor force — visit blogs and on average spend 3.5 hours, or 9%, of the work week engaged with them."

I dunno about you, but I probably spend 3.5 hours a day messing around with blogs.

I spend at least 50% of my day reading blogs.

yes, I'm at work, I could have gone home hours ago if I wasn't doing this. Sad.

Fela Kuti is just the best. I saw him play Toronto many years ago, and it's perhaps the only time I've had to walk out of a concert because it was too good. After about 90 minutes of this eerie full-on music, I was wishing he would play something boring to give us a break. I couldn't take any more.

I'm envious of robmcj. I didn't get a chance to see Kuti perform before he keeled over in 97.

Why work when you can blog? Does anyone know of someone that has been fired because of a blogging addiction?

How would I keep up to date on the big issues affecting my life if I didn't blog? Without Jiggscasey.com, I would be woefully uninformed, and what use would I be then?

Downfall of society my furry ass.

Jiggs, that overhyped ex-Mormon Dooce lost her job from blogging. There's also some flight attendant that lost her job for the same reason. You've heard the expression "dooced" right? It's an annoyed overdone expression meaning to lose your job because of blogging. "I got dooced". Her blog is www.dooce.com. I find it boring to read though. Plus you can't comment on her posts. What fun is that?

Dooce sounds really close to "douche". That pleases me immensely
